I used to have a different title for the blog, I just changed it again recently. hahaha
I should stick to just one title shouldn't I?

Almost Died..Almost

Hi

A few days ago I almost died (sort of) in a car vs motorcycle accident. Lucky for me I survived it. Somehow it made me realize a bunch of things, things I regret, things I could have done, and things I could do from now on.

You know what? It sort of feels like I was meant to be in that accident in that time and on that day.

Here's what happened...

I was supposed to go to our other house in another part of the town, and I was asking my Dad to take me there. He's usually the one who drives me to places. I almost always ride with him, but that afternoon he said he was busy and that was it. I had to call on the my brother to drive for me. From this part of the story you might be saying "Why don't you just drive there yourself??"
Well sorry dudes and dudettes, I DON'T KNOW how to drive.
Moving on, so my brother agrees to drive the motorcycle and take me to my destination (which for privacy's sake I'll just call hmm.. lemme think.. uhm.. "Downtown". Okay?) But when he checks the motorcycle he found that there's no gas. Alright, I said, just buy some gas. So he buys gas at the nearest gas station, he rode a bike to get there. It took some time, about 30 minutes to get the whole thing over with.

Checklist:
Driver - check
Gas - check

A few minutes before we left my brother suddenly decided that he'll wear a helmet
WHICH IS A HUGE SURPRISE!!

He never wears a helmet.
First, its heavy.
Second, you cant hear a thing while in a helmet.
Third, you can't see shit either through the crappy helmet.

But despite all the crap it could bring he still wore it because its against the law to drive/ride a motorcycle without a helmet. But I didn't wear one. I didn't care about the law at all.

My mom also told me to bring a glass plate with me. I was supposed to bring it downtown.

So we're all set and we went on our way.

So there we were, me just looking around the area while my brother drives. I was also enjoying the cool wind on my face since it was a nice and cool afternoon. The sun was shining  and there were clouds in the sky. It was not too hot, and not too cold. It was perfect.

We were nearing the last turn to reach downtown when it happened.

My brother was turning left, a few meters more and we'll be reaching the turn.

Then a car suddenly tried to over take us and we got hit.

I literally flew.
The glass plate shattered.
I landed and skidded a few more meters then I stopped.

Everything happened in just a few seconds.

Afterwards I was bleeding. My left shoulder, my left arm, and my leg were hurting so bad.
I didnt want to look but I already saw the bleeding wounds.
And my head, oh my head, it felt like it was going to explode.

My brother was immediately by my side, apparently the helmet helped lessen the damage on him.
(at least a little bit)

When I glanced around the motorcycle was lying on its side with most of its parts scattered everywhere.
From the car that hit us, emerged a fat female who was looking nervous, clearly she realized how big of a mess she was in.

A lot of people suddenly popped up, and urged the fat female to take us to the hospital.
So we got to the hospital and we got treated and the rest is history.

Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

I don't care about what happened to the fat effin female who hit our motorcycle.
I don't care how much the hospital bills cost.
I don't care that I wasn't able to go to work for days.
I don't care that my body hurts.

Bottom line. I'm just effin glad to be alive.

Now, what could have been done to avoid the effin accident..

  1. I could have persuaded my dad to just take me downtown himself. Since he's the better and more experienced driver.
  2. My brother shouldn't have worn the helmet. He could have seen the car before it came and could have moved away.
  3. I could have looked behind us while my brother was turning and warned my brother bout the car.
  4. OR (the best option) I could have declined the invitation to go downtown in the first place!!
So yeah, again, I believe it really was meant to be.

I guess I was really meant to get in that accident to realize that life really is effin short, that you could easily die in an instant, and most of all that the people who really love will be there for you no matter what.
